Por favor, disculpeme si escribo en ingles; castellano no es fácil para mí y siento la necesidad de expresar esto con precisión. Gracias.

Being many thousands of miles away from Argentina and the heart of the project is often hard for me, especially at times like these, when help is most needed, and the rewards of all this hard work can be enjoyed by all. Consequently, when I sat down and looked through all the photos, it made me really wish I could have been there at this momentous occasion, when the AADC made its public debut, and all the efforts of the last year went on display for the nation.

At the same time, however, as I looked through each photo, I began to feel an immense pride at having been part of this project. The smiles on faces, young people examining artifacts on the stand, the amazing presentation of the simulator, badges, helmets, models and more was so impressive that I could not help but feel so proud at the accomplishments of the association and all those who have put so much into it over the last year and a half. I can honestly say that when Marcelo Siri and I first started talking early last year, I never dreamed it would come this far. What a pleasant suprise!

I have always wanted to promote aviation and military history, and the preservation of artifacts, especially among our younger generations, and to see so many people around the Canberra, coming to look at it, learn of its history and the crews that flew and serviced it, gave me a deep feeling of satisfaction. Even though I could not attend the event, I still felt as if we had all achieved a great victory, and I salute all those involved.
